Meet Our Team

Patricia MacCabe, DVM

  • Dr. MacCabe received her B.S. and D.V.M. degrees from Michigan State University. After working for three years on Long Island in a small animal/exotics practice, she moved back to Pennsylvania (her home state) and opened Canadensis Veterinary Clinic, which has been in operation for 33 years.

Dr. MacCabe has a special interest in surgery and is one of the few avian/exotic practitioners in the area. She has three dogs (Maya, Ringo, and Rusty), two cats (Nopee and Yoda), and a couple of office mascots (Sadie the amazon parrot, Skittles the cockatiel, Cheeseburger, the (fat) cat).

In her spare time, she loves to travel, swim, hike, and paint. She has mentored several people who have gone on to become licensed technicians and veterinarians – including her two daughters. :)

Dr. MacCabe also enjoys doing school visits and educating children about pets and conservation.
